Nice video! I saw them live last month. They really are legendary. At some point, Dan Beehler (leader/singer/drummer) said: "Do you wanna hear the title track of our 1985 EP? Do you know what song that is?" and I was the one guy screaming FEEL THE KNIIIIIFE!!! hahahah They even pointed in my direction. Awesome moment.

To all you guys who never lived back then; After the unholy first we waited for the second and so on. My click was Dave Wyndorf, and some other guys who loved heavy music back then. You have no idea about the landscape back then. We had nothing. Not like you guys today or even guys born after the ‘80’s. The impact of a new Sabbath album was monumental. You have no idea. Paranoid changed the entire landscape of music. Master of Reality and Vol 4 can never be touched. Sabbath bloody Sabbath was the end of their classic sound. Sabatage was a big disappointment and side two should not exist. What a load of crap! Technically Ecstasy is a masterpiece and a return to greatness. The Dio albums Rule with Mob Rules being the best out of all of them. I hate the Dio rock songs, not sabbath, but filler! You know the ones I’m talking about. Love Headless Cross!! Martin was their best singer. Saw every tour since 1971. You guys didn’t live it. I did. Tyr should be changed with Forbidden! The reason Ice- T appears on Forbidden is the guitar player, Ernie C, from Body Count produced that great record. Ice -T gave Sabbath Street cred. Hip -hop was huge then. Now you understand?? Sabbath are the greatest group in the world ( after the Beatles) yes, I lived every album release from then too! I know more about music than anyone on here bro, including you. I was born in 1956. Well. if Metallica did indeed "plagiarize" any of those bits and pieces of other songs that kind of sound similar, they knew how to use them to make a lot better music and kudos to them. Writing good music is a tremendous skill. Good music is not a collection of riffs, and notes put together no matter how skillfully or fast ones plays them. Most evidenced by The four Horsement vs the Mechanix. I mean The four Horsemen is a full, proper masterpiece, while the Mechanix sounds like a collection of fast riffs taken from guitar exercises as is and glued together. Not to mention the lyrics.

If we’re talking about the best of what REAL EPIC DOOM METAL made in Sweden is about, then definitely Nemesis, Mercy & of course Candlemass are worth more than just a couple of listens 🇸🇪 🤘 I remember all of it clearly because, to begin with, on Nemesis’ E.P. “The Day of Retribution” we have “Black Messiah” which is its opening song; it turns out that several years later, almost 5 honestly, when #Candlemass was promoting “Ancient Dreams”, singer #MessiahMarcolin(who joined the band The year before for “Nightfall”) acknowledged that he loved “The Day of Retribution” & he wanted to re-record a couple of its songs that were ultimately included on such album, and it paid off because with some updated improvements including a new opening lyric, “Black Messiah” was re-titled “Incarnation of Evil” 😈 👿 💿 🥰 👨‍🎤 🎵 🎶 🎧
